Lorenzo Gusman is Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager at Torino Airport. He oversees airport operations, infrastructure development, and asset management, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability. He previously worked in the aerospace sector as part of the International Space Station design team.

Olivier Jankovec became Director General of ACI EUROPE in September 2006, having first joined the organisation earlier that year as Director of Strategy and Communications. He brings extensive experience in governmental and regulatory affairs, having worked with Alitalia, Air France, and the European Commission’s Air Transport Directorate. He has also contributed to EU aviation policy groups and serves on the Advisory Board of the World Tourism Forum. A French-Croatian national, Olivier speaks several languages.

George Karamanos is a senior aviation and marketing executive with 30 years’ international experience across Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Holding an MSc in Transportation Management (Aviation Management and Strategy), he has led marketing and communications for Virgin Atlantic, Athens International Airport, and Abu Dhabi Airports, earning multiple Routes and OAG awards. Since 2013, he has headed KPI Aviation Marketing Solutions, advising more than 30 airports worldwide, and is a CMO Council, ACI, and IATA-certified instructor.

Maria Kouroupi is Director of Aviation Development, Marketing and Communication at Hermes Airports in Cyprus. She specialises in airline partnership growth, route development strategy, and brand positioning within the aviation industry. With a strong record of driving market expansion and enhancing airport competitiveness, Maria leads cross-functional initiatives that strengthen stakeholder relations and elevate the passenger experience.

Julie Lassaigne became Secretary General of ETRC, the trade association representing the European duty-free and travel retail channel, in February 2019. In this role, she manages and represents the organisation both externally and towards its members. Julie first joined ETRC in 2013, where she was responsible for managing some of the key challenges affecting the duty-free and travel retail sector, including product information to consumers, alcohol policy, air passenger rights, and transport security.

Annabelle Lepièce, Partner at CMS Belgium, advises airports, airlines, and ground handlers on European law (state aid, antitrust, European directives). She represents French, Belgian, Dutch, Romanian, and Spanish airports and authorities in European Commission investigations into alleged state aid. She prepares notifications for investment and operating aid, as well as aid for energy and environmental protection. She also advises clients on strategy and legal options for their projects.

Pablo Lopez Loeches is currently Head of the Ideation and Entrepreneurship Division at Aena, responsible for Aena Ventures, the Innova Programme, the Technological Surveillance team, and innovative proofs of concept. He has worked at the company for more than eight years in the innovation and customer experience unit, contributing to the digital transformation, customer centricity, and sustainable development of Aena airports. He was Chair of the ACI Europe Innovation Forum from 2022 to 2024. Previously, he worked at Airbus.

Niall MacCarthy has over 25 years of experience in airport management, having worked across the three primary airports in Ireland as well as at the largest airport in Saudi Arabia. A Chartered Accountant, he is currently Managing Director of Cork Airport and a member of the daa Group Executive Team. He also serves as Chair of the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation and as a Board Member of Visit Cork. From 2019 to 2022, Niall held the roles of Vice Chair and later Chair of the ACI EUROPE Regional Airports Forum.

Enrico Malato is currently Director General and Accountable Manager at Trapani Airport, responsible for the Airgest organisation while maintaining a strategic partnership with the Italian Air Force, as the airport is a military facility open to civil traffic. With more than 25 years’ experience in the aviation industry, having held executive roles within airlines and international ground handlers, Enrico is now driving several infrastructure projects, including those linked to sustainable development, and is highly focused on increasing the airline portfolio.
