Biography
Olivier Jankovec became Director General of ACI EUROPE in September 2006, having first joined the organisation earlier that year as Director of Strategy and Communications. He brings extensive experience in governmental and regulatory affairs, having worked with Alitalia, Air France, and the European Commission’s Air Transport Directorate. He has also contributed to EU aviation policy groups and serves on the Advisory Board of the World Tourism Forum. A French-Croatian national, Olivier speaks several languages.

George Karamanos is a senior aviation and marketing executive with 30 years’ international experience across Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Holding an MSc in Transportation Management (Aviation Management and Strategy), he has led marketing and communications for Virgin Atlantic, Athens International Airport, and Abu Dhabi Airports, earning multiple Routes and OAG awards. Since 2013, he has headed KPI Aviation Marketing Solutions, advising more than 30 airports worldwide, and is a CMO Council, ACI, and IATA-certified instructor.

Julie first joined ETRC in 2013, where she was responsible for managing some of the key challenges affecting the duty-free and travel retail sector, including product information to consumers, alcohol policy, air passenger rights, and transport security.

Annabelle Lepièce, Partner at CMS Belgium, advises airports, airlines, and ground handlers on European law (state aid, antitrust, European directives). She represents French, Belgian, Dutch, Romanian, and Spanish airports and authorities in European Commission investigations into alleged state aid. She prepares notifications for investment and operating aid, as well as aid for energy and environmental protection. She also advises clients on strategy and legal options for their projects.

Niall MacCarthy has over 25 years of experience in airport management, having worked across the three primary airports in Ireland as well as at the largest airport in Saudi Arabia. A Chartered Accountant, he is currently Managing Director of Cork Airport and a member of the daa Group Executive Team. He also serves as Chair of the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation and as a Board Member of Visit Cork. From 2019 to 2022, Niall held the roles of Vice Chair and later Chair of the ACI EUROPE Regional Airports Forum.
